Is this your year to join Saint Anselm’s Choir? We need you! We want you!
You know you’ve always wanted to join! We need men, women, and teens that like to sing. Saint Anselm’s Choir warms up on Sunday mornings before the 10:00 a.m. Mass, and rehearses after coffee hour from approximately 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. each Sunday during the school year. We recognize that everyone has a busy schedule and no one can be there every single Sunday, so don’t let that stop you! Please consider adding your voice to our merry band of choristers. Stop by after the 10:00 a.m. Mass to see our director, Dr. Joan, or leave your phone number and email address for her at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Saint Anselm’s offers Sunday School for pre-school through the 6th grade in conjunction with the 10:00 a.m. Mass. On a typical Sunday, we begin at 10:00 a.m. At the time of the announcements, the Crucifer comes to collect us and lead us into the sanctuary to receive Holy Communion or a blessing and we remain with our family for the rest of the service. The service is followed by Coffee Hour in the parish hall where coffee, tea, juice and doughnuts are served.
The first Sunday of the month is FAMILY MASS-students worship with their family through Holy communion then proceed to their classrooms to make cards for our parishioners who are sick, elderly or "shut-in". Our children participate fully in the liturgy, functioning as readers, acolytes, ushers, etc. Nursery (child care) for babies and toddlers is offered every Sunday at 10:00 a.m.
Open to Grades 7th—12th. New members welcome! Usually we meet the first Sunday of every month at 5:00 p.m. in Parish Hall. We have fun fellowship activities and many service projects including: Thanksgiving Baskets, Christmas Wreaths, Local Food Drives for Saint Anselm’s Food Panty, and the Spring Car Wash.
